Goertz Tree Service is built on a lifelong passion for plants and tree care. Owner Anthony Goertz began his horticultural journey in 1994 at Braun and Sons Nursery in Grand Forks, BC, where he developed a strong foundation in plant identification and cultivation. He later expanded his expertise as a plant technician with Green Velvet in Vernon, BC, gaining hands-on experience in lawn care, plant health care, and pruning—an area that sparked his deep interest in arboriculture.

Determined to pursue this passion professionally, Anthony earned a diploma in Ornamental Horticulture: Arboriculture from Olds College in Alberta. He went on to spend several years working on large-scale tree work in the Lower Mainland before settling in the Shuswap in 2006. For 16 years, he worked alongside respected arborist Yves Cusson of Cusson Tree Service, further refining his skills and reputation in the community.

Anthony has continued to build on his expertise throughout his career, becoming a Certified Arborist in 2003, a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified Arborist in 2018, and a Wildlife Danger Tree Assessor in 2023. His dedication to ongoing education, safety, and professional standards is at the core of Goertz Tree Service, ensuring clients receive knowledgeable, responsible, and high-quality tree care.
